1. Speed: From website visitor to application in less than 4 hours
Tracking every step of a user's journey is truly insightful. This way we can be sure what we do is useful and can remove any friction.
The first record was set by a business school that prides itself on its structured approach to marketing, and on how it uses data and technology to create an efficient, student-centric process. As a private institution, this school relies on the Digital Advisor-product to efficiently guide prospects’ choices, generate high-quality leads and personalise prospects’ journey. The leads generated are then integrated into the school’s CRM and marketing automation framework.
As such, in April 2025, the school traced one of its applicant’s user journeys, from Digital Advisor on the website to submitted application. Surprisingly, the entire journey lasted less than 4 hours in total.
The school was able to pinpoint each of the user’s (let’s call him Eric) actions:
- 8:09 AM: Eric arrives on the website and starts the “Which Master’s is right for you?” Advisor
- 8:13 AM: Eric receives his top programme match: Master in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour.
- 8:13 AM: Eric’s contact information and programme match is automatically logged in Salesforce (the school’s CRM system)
- 8:16 AM: Eric receives an email with a link back to his Digital Advisor results and the option to book a consultation session with the school
- 11:28 AM: Eric begins his application for the Leadership and Organisational Behaviour programme
- 11:58 AM: Eric completes and submits his application 🎉
This tight integration between the school’s website, the Digital Advisor, and the school’s CRM system created a seamless user journey, where every step and interaction was tracked and acted upon in a timely manner – allowing the business school to truly nurture each lead to the fullest (and ultimately letting us monitor and celebrate this astounding record).
2. Volume: 773 monthly leads from website traffic
By strategically engaging website visitors with targeted CTAs, this business school is generating an unprecedented volume of leads.
Another business school launched three Digital Advisors for its Master’s programmes, and has captured a total of 3885 leads so far this year from its website. The median time that users spent on each Digital Advisor was 3 min 31 sec. This means that users were able to remain invested in the process without losing focus.
The secret to this success most likely lies in the location, scope, and visuals of the website banners. The business school placed the link to the Digital Advisors on the “Master's Programmes' overview” and "course content" pages, featuring a large and visually appealing banner, with a clear CTA to take a short quiz to test your Master’s eligibility.
These banners were accompanied by other useful banners in the same location, featuring an admissions test simulation tool and programme-specific webinars. This space on the page creates a sense of guidance and assistance for prospects as they attempt to navigate their various options. And of course, the admissions test and webinars also help to capture more leads who show an interest in pursuing a Master’s degree at the business school.
3. Engagement: 25% of enrolled students sought programme guidance
The fact that 25% of enrolled students used the Digital Advisor during their decision-making process illustrates that it's a useful tool that has the power to inspire prospective students!
The third and final record is held by a triple-accredited business school that we have partnered with for 7 years.
This school has implemented several Digital Advisors on both its website and digital marketing channels, including email campaigns and social media ads. This has proved successful due to the personalised and low-barrier experience, which allows prospects to explore the school’s programme and receive tailored recommendations.
